Latar belakang : Encephalitis atau radang otak merupakan infeksi otak yang umumnya disebabkan oleh virus, bakteri, atau parasit. Salah satu tanda dan gejala yang muncul pada anak dengan Enchepalitis adalah demam tinggi. Intervensi yang dapat dilakukan oleh perawat untuk mengatasi demam pada anak adalah dilakukannya kompres aloe vera. Tujuan : Penerapan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi demam pada anak. Metode : Penerapan Evidance Based Nursing pada anak laki-laki berumur 8 bulan dengan enchepalitis. Pemberian kompres aloe vera dikukan pada area lipatan seperti ketiak selama tiga hari dan diberikan setiap anak demam selama 10- 15 menit. Hasil penerapan : Hasil penerapan selama 3 hari menunjukkan bahwa kompres aloe vera mampu menurunkan demam pada anak dengan enchepalitis. Kesimpulan : Dari hasil penerapan di atas, kompres aloe vera terbukti efektif menurunkan demam. Kata kunci : enchepalitis, demam, keperawatan anak, aloe vera. Abstract Background: Encephalitis or inflammation of the brain is a brain infection that is generally caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. One of the signs and symptoms that appear in children with Enchepalitis is high fever. Interventions that can be done by nurses to overcome fever in children are aloe vera compresses. Objective: The application of this study aims to reduce fever in children. Methods: Application of Evidance Based Nursing on an 8 month old boy with enchepalitis. The aloe vera compress was applied to the fold area such as the armpit for three days and given every time the child had a fever for 10-15 minutes. Results of application: The results of the application for 3 days showed that aloe vera compresses were able to reduce fever in children with enchepalitis.
